Our Story

It’s quite simple to understand why we do what we do once you’ve heard the stories of those we serve and have also seen the potential that rests in God’s power and love to restore someone from their pain. Years ago I began to see a new side to this world that we live in. Evidently I had missed it for most of my early years, but there was something going on in the world that I couldn’t quite put my hand on or even see with the eyes, but the evidence was all around. The pain that most people experience, even hiding deep in their hearts, was being caused by a type of evil, an invisible evil, that we have all experienced at some point but struggle to describe.  It exists in every culture though it manifests itself more strongly in some regions, which is what we see today in places like Syria, Afghanistan, and parts of Africa.  

Seeing pain and destruction that evil is causing in people left me unsettled and compelled to do something.  Leaving the safety of a consistent paycheck, comfortable job, and warmth of a nearby family, we came to Southern Italy where we set up shop to rescue and restore those who have been affected by evil.  The stories being told by most refugees and migrants go untold except to the authorities who hold the decision for where they can resettle.  No one seems to know the depth of misery and discomfort they feel except for those brave enough to walk with them through the journey.  Not wanting them to walk alone, we walk with them through the resettlement process in a new land and new language, usually without the support system we all desire and need.  We hope many will join us to bring new hope and joy to a neglected and abused people.
